Rachel Vanoven Collective

Sarah Markus Photography

When I started newborn photography, I knew it would be important to take courses. After graduating university as a teacher, I know just how important education is. I have always been driven to do any of my passions to the best of my ability and newborn photography was no less of an endeavour.

Early on in my work, I came across Rachel Vanoven Photography. Not only did I find myself in love with her beautiful work; but her generous spirit and kind personality are contagious. She gives so much back to the photography community by offering teaching resources that teach beautiful lighting, posing, and most importantly newborn safety.

Rachel’s most recent launch is called the “Rachel Vanoven Collective”; a monthly educational resource for newborn and family photographers. Of course I signed up immediately as am always pursuing new learning tools. In the first month alone we have had the privilege of watching her do a full newborn session and edit, full family session and edit, and two guest videos. Aside from the lessons, she has offered continuous support through live videos in the private Facebook group.

I am so thankful for the tools that Rachel continues to provide for the newborn photography community. It is such a privilege to learn from elite photographers in the industry. For someone that is looking to improve their skills, stay up-to-date in their skills, and provide a memorable service for clients, the Rachel Vanoven Collective is the way to go. It is a great asset for anyone entering the profession or seasoned photographers alike!

Here is a before and after of my work since taking Rachel’s class:
