As a small business owner, referrals are incredibly important. I was touched when a client referred April and Ian to me for their portrait session. I knew it was going to be a fun session then second I met them! They are both so outgoing and friendly– complete naturals in front of the camera.

Originally we were going to do their couple session at a small train station museum, but when we got there it was closed and for sale! So we did a quick location change and went to Presequ’ile Provincial Park instead, and I am so glad we went there! Of course this time of year it was completely freezing, but you would never know by the smiles on this couple’s face. They were so completely in love.

It was right around their third anniversary, and Ian looks at April just like grooms look at brides on their wedding day. April is stunning and looks at Ian with just as much love. The driftwood on the beach was a fortunate find. A prop from mother nature!

They were joking and said that every photography session April has ever scheduled has been in the freezing cold weather, so next time they are definitely scheduling in the spring or summer. You’d never know the two of them were cold, but it made it even easier for them to snuggle up together during their session.

It would be really hard for me to pick a favorite photograph of this couple, but I think the one with April’s hand on Ian’s neck and they are forehead to forehead shows just how much love this husband and wife have for each other. I’m so happy to have met them and hope to see them again (in warmer temperatures next time!)
