Sarah Markus Photography – Ingersoll Newborn Photographer

I have been so excited to share this session with you! Carolyn contacted me a couple of months ago to book a lifestyle newborn session. When I arrived at their home just north of Ingersoll, Ontario, I immediately knew why! Carolyn has real eye for home decor and their home is so beautiful. It was a real honour to photograph their precious baby girl.
When I arrived, I immediately saw this closed in porch with a gorgeous victorian sofa – talk about every lifestyle photographer’s dream! We captured a few portraits of the whole family and dad with his baby girl there. I especially love the image where dad is holding Peyton and she has her little hand gripped onto his pocket. You know the saying about having daddy wrapped around your finger – well I’m pretty sure that’s the case with this daddy-daughter duo! 

As a newborn photographer, it is so important to capture all the little details. Take a look below at the sweet touches that Carolyn added to their nursery. It is white with accents of gold and greenery! Scott and Carolyn decided to stay on “team green” and wait until birth to find out if they were having a baby boy or baby girl. They kept their nursery neutral in anticipation of their baby’s arrival at Woodstock General Hospital.
Peyton wore this beautiful sweater knit onesie sent to her from family in the Netherlands and a pretty velvet headband made by her cousins. I always love incorporating a few items that have special meaning to the family! It was ironic that her little outfit came from Holland as I had recently ordered a few props from The Original Photoblocks Props http://www.theoriginalphotoblocksprops.com which is also located in Holland. This specialty prop shop specializes in unique and organic props for newborn photographers worldwide. This beautiful backdrop accented her outfit perfectly! 
Any newborn photographers reading know how quickly this gorgeous heart prop sold out. Within seconds they were gone which is why I was so excited to have snagged one! I think it is by far my favourite prop! I couldn’t wait to use it for this lifestyle session and can’t wait to use it in studio sessions I have in the future in my home studio in Ingersoll, Ontario.
