Back in November I met Alicia to do her maternity  session. We did the session earlier than I normally do, but it was a good thing because little Miss Madison decided she just couldn’t wait to make her way into the world and came 8 weeks early! She weighed in at just 4lbs 12 oz.

This little doll spent her first 8 weeks and her first Christmas in the NICU so we did her session as soon as she was able to come home and approved for baby modeling by her doctors. She was as sweet as pie, and slept the entire time! I captured so many sweet images it was hard to choose which to post here!

Alicia is just the sweetest thing, you could tell she was so relieved to have her baby girl at home. I love the pose of Alicia with her arms wrapped around Madison and her eyes closed. Love just pours out of that photograph.

Mama was in favor of using pink so we used quite a few of my little headbands from Ivy & Twine. Baby girl was so sleepy she was good wrapped and unwrapped! The little bonnet we used when she was snuggled in the metal bucket is from Alpine Lane Props. I didn’t use more bonnets because she had tufts of jet black hair I just couldn’t bare to cover up! Of course one of my favorite shops is Luneberry, and I happened to have the prettiest pink sheepskin that looked so lovely with Madison’s complexion.

I’m so pleased I finally got to meet this precious baby girl for her newborn session. I’m so glad she is home from the NICU and wrapped up in her Mom and Dad’s loving arms!
